Privacy Policy

Last verified 20 August 2026 against the official Steam store page and playardem.com.

Last updated 20 August 2026.

This policy explains what data Ardem Wiki collects, why, and what control you have over it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable.

The short version

QuestionAnswer
Do we require an account?No
Do we sell personal data?Never
Do we collect names or addresses?Only if you email us
Do we use analytics?Yes — Google Analytics 4
Do we serve advertising?Yes — one third-party ad network
Do we host third-party trackers? Not beyond what is disclosed here

What we collect

Server logs. Like any website, our host records standard request data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp. This is used for security and to diagnose faults, and it is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

Aggregate analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-2FY8GYEFNH) to understand which pages are useful — page views, referrers and broad country-level location. We read it in aggregate and do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual. Google's own handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising. Pages carry a single ad unit served by a third-party ad network from pl30940066.effectivecpmnetwork.com. It funds hosting. That network loads its own script and may set cookies or similar identifiers to select and measure ads; we do not send it your email address or anything you have written to us, and we receive no personal data back from it — only aggregate earnings figures.

Email correspondence. If you write to us through the contact page, we hold your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it.

We do not ask for, and have no use for, your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth or payment details. Ardem Wiki sells nothing.

Cookies

Ardem Wiki does not require cookies to function and sets no cookie of its own. The two third-party providers named below — Google Analytics and our ad network — may each set their own cookies or similar identifiers, subject to their own policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use an ad or tracker blocker, without breaking this site: every page remains fully readable.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. If you are in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights of access, deletion, correction and opt-out of sale — noting that we do not sell personal information.

Because we do not operate accounts, the practical scope of these rights is usually limited to email correspondence you have sent us. To exercise any of them, write to contact [at] ardem.hunt-games.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Ardem Wiki is a reference site about a mature-rated video game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS. We hold very little personal data by design, which is the most effective protection available — but no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page is updated. Related: terms of service and about this wiki.

Why this policy is short

Ardem Wiki is a reference site about a video game. It has no accounts, no shopping basket, no newsletter gate and no personalisation, which means there is very little personal data for it to hold in the first place. That is a deliberate design choice rather than an oversight: the most reliable way to protect data is not to collect it.

The practical consequence is that most of the rights described above — access, deletion, portability — apply only to email you have chosen to send us through the contact page. If you have never written to us, we hold no record that identifies you beyond ordinary server logs, which are retained briefly for security and fault diagnosis and are not used to build a profile.

Two exceptions to that minimalism are named above: Google Analytics, which tells us which pages are worth expanding, and a single ad unit that covers hosting costs. Both are disclosed here with the provider and its role described, and both can be blocked without affecting the content of the site. Any further change of this kind is added to this page before it goes live.

Key takeaways

  • No accounts, no logins, and nothing to sign up for.
  • We never sell personal data and do not build individual profiles.
  • Standard server logs and aggregate analytics only; the site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
  • Google Fonts is loaded from Google, which sees your IP for that request.
  • GDPR and CCPA requests go to contact [at] ardem.hunt-games.com.
